There's two meanings given to the word love. The first one is something that gives you a little pleasure("I love that song")to something one would die for(family). In Christianity, love is the most important thing in life. To be able to love God with all your heart, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. I've gone through various shades of love this week. I found myself smiling to people who at one point in my life I disliked. I talked to my mom about my feelings. Although it was awkward, I did it. 2008 is the year of new beginnings. I have to start somewhere. Where best then to start where it began and make yourself through the end rearranging everything on the way. Everyday, I look down at the ring I placed by choice around my finger. I understand and acknowledge every single moment in life that I'm a student under God's teachings. I am not tempted to bite the apple of lust. The way that I'm stronger now to walk away when my senses feel the presence of evil. I am committed to what God has placed for me. I refuse to follow my emotions or do what I think is right. I do what God tells me to do. I choose to live my life pure. I don't need drugs. I don't need alcohol. I don't need sex. I don't need to use violence in my words. I don't need to lie in order to reach the truth. The truth will always be there. If you can't have it, it wasn't meant for you. Stop trying to get your way around everything.
Love is patient. Love is willing to wait an eternity. Don't rush. God will bring you someone when he thinks your ready. I'm ready to wait. But like I said in the entry prior to this one, it's hard to fight against human instincts. I don't know when it actually becomes alright to crush on someone. I know what I want. I want a guy who loves God and uses the talents God gave him to worship the Lord. A guy who's perspective of life is different. Someone who sees the real beauty in this wonderful place God gave us to live. Look outside. Have you seen how beautiful our sky is? How many colors it has? How clouds take a different shape every hour? Life is beautiful. It's too bad more than half of the teens in this generation are too busy doing something else rather than acknowledging what God has placed in front of them.
